To serve you better, we have found it necessary to implement the following policies.

All bills are the responsibility of the patient. In the event of a denied claim, or in the event of a personal injury lawyer failing to honor the Letter of Protection written to this company, patients must pay their bills at the cash rate, which is typically much lower than the balance due at the insurance rate. The current cash rate for the first Acupuncture appointment is a total of $156, and that covers the exam ($58) and the first treatment ($98). The cash rate for follow up appointments is $98 for Acupuncture and $5* for optional Platinum LED Light Therapy.
Our biller contacts your insurance plan to determine your insurance acupuncture coverage. What our biller is told, and we share with you, does not override your ultimate monetary responsibility for any balance due. The vast majority of the time, the coverage info is correct, and claims are paid. However, an exceedingly small percentage of claims are denied for varied reasons. It is up to the patient to contact the insurance plan and find redress for any incorrect information provided to our biller, and any claim denied.
Unless you have met an insurance deductible, payment in full or for co-pay is due for services and products at the time of the appointment. If you are using an insurance plan to cover any portion of your Acupuncture appointment and have paid for a visit that came AFTER a deductible had been met, you are entitled to an appropriate refund. You will receive in that refund the amount paid for Acupuncture beyond what you owed via co-pay. Platinum LED Light Therapy is complimentary at first visit.
For Insurance patients ONLY: Whether you have met your deductible, you are charged an additional $3 (billing cost sharing charge as biller charges 6% per claim) for every claim filed. If a patient prefers not to pay this fee, he or she can opt for claims NOT to be filed, till the deductible has been met through care and filing of claims by other medical offices.
*Plans managed by American Specialty Health cover neither Platinum LED Light Therapy nor Myofascial Massage/Soft Tissue work. Thus, we must charge $10 for each of these two services should you agree to receive them in addition to your Acupuncture treatment.
